What it's like to work at Resty Applications

The vast majority of our work gets done on Github, with Slack as the main channel for communication. We do daily standups which are used to discuss progress and plan what's coming next. Also, we have semi-annual PRs and team feedback sessions.

The biggest perk of working at Resty Applications is that we have a tight-knit, talented team with very large project geography. This means you have the ability to communicate with people of different cultures, whilst also having really interesting and challenging problems to work on. We believe deeply in what we do, and we're all in this to build something lasting, sustainable and positive.

On top of all that, we try to treat people pretty well. All roles at Resty Applications come with:

  • Competitive salary
We pay well at market rates reflecting both ambition and experience.
  • In-office work
A comfortable office in most IQ-concentrated district of Kharkiv. Everything we do is online, but team support and a healthy environment are what make 1+1>2.
  • All the tech you need
We'll provide you with the hardware and software you need to work effectively.
  • Office costs covered
Coffee, fruits, etc… Pizza parties and accountant services as well.
  • Saturday-friendly office
Just kidding - we are not fans of overtimes. Still, on Saturdays, our office is never empty - feel free to come and work on your own projects, learn new technologies/ English/ Klingon/write your diploma...

How to apply

We hire people often, and positions often open up. But when we do add a member to the team, we're pretty diligent about it.

We want to keep the team as reasonably small and effective as we can, automate as much as possible with software, build great products, and enjoy our work as much as possible. Those are the things we optimise for. If that sounds like a good fit for you, then we’d encourage you to get in touch.

All jobs at RA start with an application form, progressing to 1 short phone interview, 1 in-office interview, and finally a paid trial period. Rather than trying to guess if we'll work well together based on lengthy arbitrary interview questions or "code challenges" - instead we invite promising candidates to work on a real-life trial project with us and pay them for their time. Trial projects are typically 1 - 2 months of work, and give us an opportunity to get to know each other prior to pursuing a full-time offer. It’s also a chance for candidates to get to know the RA team and make sure that it’s a good fit for them.
